Charlotte Molenkamp

Charlotte MolenkampCharlotte Molenkamp (1955), daughter of painter Nico Molenkamp, is a popular painter, known mainly for her vibrant oil and gouaches. Molenkamp was educated at Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten St. Joost in Breda. Her ascent as an artist was accelerated by her collaboration with Eugène Brands. She paints in a loose and expressive style subjects such as: plants, animals, flowers and people, in a balancing act between the figurative and the abstract. The act of painting itself is central to her work, as a physical and emotional expression. Charlotte Molenkamp’s work can be found in many institutional collections such as the collections of Philips, Interpolis, ABN AMRO, ING, Agio, Pijnenburg and Rabobank as well as the collection of the Royal family of the Netherlands and well known galleries.
