Dominique Ampe
Dominique Ampe (Ukkel, Belgium, 1944) lives and works in Breda and is a well known artist and teacher at the academy of the same city. Ampe trained to be an architect at first in Brussels (1965-1968). But quite soon he decided to switch to the art academy of Mechlin (1969-1970). He is known for his landscapes and architectural paintings which are full of symbols, mixed media techniques and a tangible atmosphere invoked by the memories he bases his work on.
