Guido LippensGuido Lippens (Terneuzen, 1939) attended the academy in Eindhoven in the fifties. In 1982 Lippens participated in Documenta, Kassel. In 1965 he held his first solo exhibition. He lives and works in Middelburg where he is active as a sculptor, painter and draughtsman. At the beginning of his career he was mainly focused on figurative expressionist works. Later he switched to geometric abstract shapes and patterns that flow from intuition and feeling rather than ratio.

Lippens work has been the subject of wide publication. It can be found in such institutions and collections as: Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, Gemeente Museum, den Haag, Stedelijk Museum, Amsterdam, Stedelijk Museum, Schiedam, Centraal Museum, Utrecht, Museum het Prinsenhof , Delft and Museum Jan Cunen in Oss.
