Lolita Timofeeva

Lolita TimofeevaLolita (Jaskin) Timofeeva (Riga, Latvia, 1964) is a painter, sculptor, performance artist and writer. Lolita studied at the Riga Technical Institute and Art Academy (1981-1984). She went on to the Academy for Design in Saint Petersburg (1984-1988) and the Design Academy in Moskow (1988-1990). She was a student of Jānis Andris Osis. Shortly after the fall of the Wall, in 1991 she moved to Italy. In 1997 she represented Latvia at the XLVII Biënnale of Venice with a personal exhibition of glass sculptures. In 2002 her work was shown in the European Parliament. In 2012 she participated in the Biënnale of Moskow.

Works by Lolita Timofeeva are present in prominent collections such as: the Thyssen-Bornemisza Collection (Madrid), the Casal Solleric Museum (Palma de Mallorca), the International Museum of Ceramics (Faenza), Foreign Art Museum and the RIGA BOURSE Art Museum (Riga, Letland), the National Library of Florence, the Arturo Schwarz Collection (Milaan), the VGBIL Foreign Literature Library (Moskow), the La Verde La Malfa Foundation (Catania) etc.
