Theo KuijpersTheo Kuijpers (Helmond, 1939) is a well known painter, collagist, and sculptor who was educated at the academy of Eindhoven. He spent his military service in the former colony of Surinam from 1962 to 1963. Back in the Netherlands he processed his impressions of Latin America in his art. Even today his work tends to start with travel (to Marocco, Australia, Italy, France, Iceland and many other countries). Kuijpers is mainly known as an abstract constructivist painter.

Work by Theo Kuijpers is included in collections such as those of: Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Van Abbemuseum, Eindhoven, Museum van Bommel van Dam, Venlo, Singermuseum, Laren, Frans Hals Museum, Haarlem, Museum voor Moderne Kunst, Arnhem, Noord-Brabants Museum, Den Bosch, Museum Het Valkhof, Nijmegen, Stedelijk Museum, Schiedam, Rijksmuseum Twenthe and institutional collections at home and abroad such as: ABNAMRO, AXA, RABO, Akzo Nobel and many others.
