Ferenc Gögös

Ferenc Gögös (Budapest 1936 – Oosterbeek 2011) was a Hungarian-Dutch artist that fled his country in 1957 to study at the academy in Arnhem, the Netherlands after which he became a painter of repute and a well respected teacher at the academy of Arnhem. His work is related to folk art and very colorful, usually with a narrating quality.

His work is featured in numerous prominent Dutch and Hungarian museums and he has exhibited all over the world and can be found in collections such as those of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam and the Museum For Modern Art in Arnhem.
