The American magazine Art forum called his work “an ingenious juxta position of scale, in both space and time” … “studies in the sublime”.
In the eighties his breakthrough began with expositions at galleries such as the famous: The Living Room in Amsterdam. Work by Ton van Summerencan be found in collections such as those of the Stedelijk Museum Amsterdam, Rijksmuseum, Amsterdam, Centraal Museum Utrecht and the Lakenhal in Leiden.
