Pieter Vermeulen
Pieter Vermeulen (1949) studied at the Academie voor Beeldende Kunsten in Arnhem and is active as a painter. In his work he strives to create a rhythm that is built up from colors and shapes that together express meaning. His themes range from: ‘love’ and ‘confusion’ to ‘desire’. For Pieter the composition as a whole is important, not the pronunciation of foreground against background, or substance versus accessory. He lives and works in Bennekom and Spain. His work was exhibited internationally and he is a widely collected artist.
