Julia Winter
Julia Winter (Moscow, 1965) is a Russian-Dutch artist who lives and works in Amsterdam since 1995. She is primarily known as a collagist. She adopted the surname Winter as a nom de plume after having lived in a small town in the polar circle for twelve years. her surname is actually Krupenia. In her work she juxtaposes opposites such as ‘male-female’ or ‘present-past’ as an overarching theme. Julia has worked internationally and has been a part of expositions in renowned museums and galeries all over the world.
